Tashae (Shae) grew up in San Diego, CA and graduated high school in 2010. She attended Arizona State University for her bachelor’s degree and graduated in 2014 with her B.S. in Health Sciences. She decided to continue her education at the master’s level and in 2020 she received her M.Ed. with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University.
Shae is a seasoned certified higher education professional and is currently serving as the Coordinator of Strategic Partnerships at The University of Arizona Global Campus in the Central Texas region. In her current role, she builds and maintains key relationships with leaders and staff at the assigned partner schools and the local community, as well as articulates and assist students with career pathways and the application process.
Shae is a mother of 3 children, Tailah (6), Joshua (4) and Jaevion (3) and is also the spouse of an Active Duty service member and has worked with the military and veteran community in various capacities for the last five years. She has worked both stateside and overseas at multiple Army Education Centers providing financial and military education guidance to service members and their dependents.
After working for Army Continuing Education Services (ACES), she transitioned into roles at higher education institutions that have large military populations. She has admissions and recruiting experience from working within the State University of New York (SUNY) system during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She then went on to work as a Tuition Coordinator at The University Maryland Global Campus, where she provided financial and education guidance to students worldwide.
Shae understands the importance of post-secondary education and the role that community colleges play in their local communities. She is excited to continue her education in the Central Texas Virtual Cohort of the Community College Leadership Program!
